Kicking off the new 2020 with another well-anticipated trackday session at Sepang International Karting Circuit? Yes please!
Partnering up with the good folk from TT Ride and a few local chaps from SakCornerKakis, as Jackson had to go for reservist he could only send us off at Gelang Patah Petronas before heading back to Singapore, with the rest of the Iron Horse team members Lud, Yuan and Afiq handling the trackday without the boss for the first time.
Morning session started off with a few hitches, but well that's to be expected, everyone's basically half awake at this point, with some coming along with the tow and the others making the trip up with a minimum of 2-hours sleeptime.
This was probably the biggest assembly of local talent as of yet, with regular KF1 racers like Hasroy Osman and Eric Chia gracing this event with their presence and of course, flair. Hasroy was on his trusty Honda X-ADV, getting creative in the twisties while Eric Chia rocked his usual FS 450, putting on a powersliding masterclass for those present.
Apart from being starstruck, our own Iron Horse guys managed to put in some track time as well, in between handling the overall operations of the trackday. Lud, Afiq and Yuan managed to get some valuable experience and practice, under the guidance of Nick Hah, Zhafir and Jayson from the TT Ride team.
During the downtime, participants also got the chance to kick back, relax, and have a bit of good old fashion clowning around:
We're glad that at the end of the day, the overall reception was good and that participants feedback was that the trackday was fun, which is always our goal. Iron Horse Racing Team strives to provide affordable, inclusive and engaging trackdays for riders of all skill levels.
